i was asking my mother for just a little du’a (prayer) as she will be leaving for Makkah and before I could finish my sentence, she said with her mother tone, “I will pray for everything” that sums up: “I already know” and “rest assured” and everything in between.

I can’t imagine any greater news than a pregnancy.

priceless gift granted only to certain people, i.e. the lucky ones. some people are blessed with good looks, prosperity, but how can those compared to having a life inside you?

I bet most of us dread with the thoughts of Mondays, having to drag our own feet to work every single day, waking up every morning thinking of unfinished work and our bosses. But none of us are doing anything, yet, thanks to the decent pay (of course) and the ever increasing cost of living. Without our own realisation, we are the slaves of the capitalism.

are we destined to do what we’re doing now for the rest of our lives?

who would’ve thought, constant facebook feed can really get on one’s nerves.

1. public display of affection of how one misses his/her other half and updating their status on a constant basis every day without fail. “miss hubby…miss baby…”

2. teasers. “i’m not going to tell you, but ask me anyway”

3. people who are ashamed of his/her own name, hence using nicknames that resembles zero connection with himself.

4. businessman wanna-be. “look, people. i’m driving a Merce. join us now!” or “new stock!!!”

there was only one reason for me to watch Something Borrowed: John Krasinki. i think he makes “dorky” the new “hotness”. and he was the only reason for me to keep watching the movie until the end. sorry, not very much a fan of kate hudson, be it her acting or her fashion sense.

anyway the movie was very light to me, so light at the point that i had to take a long break after 30 minutes into the movie. there weren’t many memorable quotes, and i even had different opinion with some of the supposedly-motivational words. as a whole, the movie might be boring, but i could somehow relate to the message: to do something with your life instead of just watching it pass by.

this song came out in the movie and it screams the 90s. have i mentioned that the radio in the 90s played the best music? well, to my ears at least.

One of these days, I dream of leading a life as a housewife and nothing else. Never mind that I have to cover myself in apron and smell of onions in the morning, attend my boy’s football practice and have zero connection with the outside world. I just can’t stand myself having to drag my feet every Monday morning, and start the week with counting down for the weekends.
